FLAMBOYANT PHOENIX

A Special Message for our Audience

I place before you a work born of my quiet and reflective hours—hours that might otherwise have weighed heavily upon the spirit, had they not been lightened by the brush and color. Painting it was both my labor and my solace.

Should this piece bring you even half the delight that I experienced while creating it, you will scarcely think of the money you spent in acquiring it; just as I shall never think the effort, patience, and small sufferings of its making were ill bestowed.

For when the joy of the beholder answers the devotion of the artist, the work has truly fulfilled its purpose.
